Pasco County’s 14th Annual Networking Festival

Pack up your business cards and slip into your best cowboy gear for Pasco County’s 14th annual Networking Festival, otherwise known as NetFest. This popular production, which is hosted by the Pasco Economic Development Council, kicks off April 7th at 5 p.m.—and its one-of-a-kind theme is something you don’t want to miss!

Below, we’re looking at a few of the key highlights behind this highly anticipated event.

Informal western theme

That’s right, leave the fancy suit at home and slip into your cowboy gear—because NetFest is a western themed event!

Pasco County is no stranger to the stereotypical “western” landscape—our county was built on railroads, river travel and the meshing of nature and human settlements, after all. Perhaps this was in organizers’ minds when they first put together this exciting event.

Unlike many networking events, NetFest prides itself in its originality and informal nature. This atmosphere allows for executives, real estate developers and local leaders to come together and connect in a more welcoming, laidback setting—so when you attend NetFest, you know you’re in for something as beneficial as it is entertaining.

To complete its western theme, NetFest will provide guests with a delicious barbecue buffet and country music to enjoy, too. Of course, we can’t forget about one of the event’s most anticipated highlights, the…

Chili cook-off

For the fifth year in the row, guests will be able to take part in a chili cook-off during NetFest. Local teams compete to create the best, most flavorful chili recipes around, all in an effort to increase the fun and camaraderie of the event.

A chance to network with local, likeminded people

Finally, NetFest’s biggest strength is, of course, its ability to bring together likeminded people from all areas of the industry to network, make connections and simply have a good time. You might walk away from the event with new contacts or the beginnings of a brand new project—you just never know.

If you plan on networking at NetFest, be sure to bring business cards and big ideas—in addition, of course, to your cowboy gear and a hearty appetite. You’ll be glad you did!

Pasco Economic Development Council, the sponsor of NetFest, is a local organization all about one thing: the growth and diversification of the local economy. That’s something every business owner—whether they be a restaurateur, real estate agent or shop owner—can appreciate.
